“It ends… When we say it ends.”

Information regarding Ben Moody is a compelling story of how he has grown as an artist and a role model, all the while leaving his mark on the music industry. Take the time to learn about who he is and what made him become the artist he is today.

At the young age of 14, Ben Moody co-founded the highly successful band, Evanescence, with lead singer Amy Lee.  They signed with Wind-up Records and put out their first album, Fallen, on March 4, 2003.  Evanescence’s debut single “Bring Me To Life” was a worldwide hit, and quickly put them on the map.  They followed it up with “My Immortal” which reached number 1 on multiple platforms.  Both songs ended up on the Daredevil soundtrack as well. In 2004, they went to the 46th Grammy Awards with 4 nominations and 2 wins.  Fallen went on to spend 43 weeks on the Billboard Top 10, went 7x platinum in the United States, and sold over 15 million copies worldwide. The information here is that it was one of eight albums in the history of the Billboard Top 50 to spend at least a year on the chart.

Music Project Information

After Ben’s departure from Evanescence, he began working on a variety of projects in 2004.  He co-wrote the single “Nobody’s Home” with Avril Lavigne for her second album, Under My Skin.  Ben wrote and recorded “The End Has Come” for The Punisher soundtrack with Jason Miller and Jason “Gong” Jones.  After that he reconnected with long time musical friend David Hodges to work with Kelly Clarkson for her Breakaway album, having “Because of You” and “Addicted” both make the cut.  The song “Because of You” was also rerecorded by Reba McEntire, scoring him his second number 1 hit with the same song.  The information you need to know is since then, Ben has collaborated with artists ranging from Anastacia to Celine Dion, and from Bo Bice to Chris Daughtry.  He has racked up 7 Grammy nominations and 3 wins to date!
